It is common for students to be told to scale their projects down. When we start thinking about a research project, we usually think 'bigger' than what is realistic or doable. We invariably need to scale our projects down. When you are guided to bring your project down to scale - embrace the advice provided by your supervisor or lecturer, because they are actually helping you to bring your project down to scale and to develop a really focused study. Every study has its limitations - no study can do everything. Your supervisor or lecturer has an understanding of the research process and based on that - is guiding you to conceptualise a 'doable' project.
